Beauty and the beast
As i write this, I feel suddenly aware of how judgemental i sound. Well, If beauty can corrupt those of us who do not have to carry such a terible burden. The mirror, indeed has two faces. One that reveals both beauty as well as the judgmental stares of others. And that constant judgement, the obsession to live up to it, is the source of the real rot. The irony is that it rots those who look and judge, as well as those who preen and pose.

Here are ways to become as thoughtful as you can possibly be…
Think more of what you can give. Thoughtfulness is all about being selfless. It’s telling people that you care for them no matter what they feel. So even if you and your better half are about to celebrate your 10th wedding anniversary and you expect close friends to flood you with greetings, don’t just wait for the cards and phone calls to come. Be the first to reach out to friends and family. Ask how they are doing. Tell them that you’re still in the same address and willing to listen if they have something to share. maybe there’s also an occasion worth celebrating in their families that you would like to mention. When you go abroad for a vacation trip, don’t forget to give them a gift. It’s always the thought that counts.
Be creative in showing how thoughtful you are. To maintain the thrill of what you’re doing-both on the side of the giver and the receiver-experiment from time to time. What’s important is that you find ways to profess your feelings. let your imagination play things up for you. Nothing is too far-fetched or too outrageous to a heart that speaks the language of love.
Check on the important dates that matter to your friends and family. Part of being thoughtfulness is keeping abreast of what exactly is happening around by being aware of the significant days of your loved ones. have a mental copy of the birthdays of your family members, know your sister’s graduation day, or mark your calendar of the date a friend saved you from a financial ruin. You must also de alert of holidays like Valentine’s Day, Women’s day, Father’s day, Mother’s day,or Labor’s day. Events like Christmas and New Year are hard to miss with the attention they gat but other red-letter days could slip off your mind unless you keep a watchful eye on them.
Make it a second nature to you. The key to becoming a thoughtfulness person is to acquire the mindset for it. Once it’s there, you can make the act a complete habit. Believe that what you do effects your life and others’ positively. Don’t wait for people to ask, “where is the love?” Show them your honest to goodness words of concern, congratulatory remarks, or just checking out if you’re fine statements. As you relay your messages, don’t expect direct responses. You may only misinterpret the whole thing. Misunderstanding usually cause big disappointment. Remember that people reciprocate and some don’t make themselves felt at all, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t appreciate your extended kind words or deeds. It’s just that they may not have the time to counter your moves at this time. Keep on going. Before you know it, you have already changed the corner of your world a place worth living.

Bangs

Bangs can drastically change your look. A side swept fringe can soften your features while full, blunt bangs can add an edge, when your hair is starting to feel a little blah. Since bangs rest on your forehead, they become pretty obvious when they go from fashionista to to frazzled. Remember that you need the right tools to pull this task off. You can't use any old pair of scissors that you would use to cut paper. invest in a small pair of professional hairdresser shears and a good quality comb. Make sure to clip your hair back, leaving only your bangs in place. Determine how much of it you want to cut, but make sure that your hair is dry before you make the chop! Cutting your bangs while wet could end in disaster because your hair gets longer when it's wet. Comb your hair down to make sure you cut it straight.
Gather your "bangs" hair and bring it to a point in the middle of your face. If your bangs were due for a cut montys before, you will and leave allowance for when your hair springs back up. For instance, if you want it below eyebrows, you'll have to cut them right at the bridge of your nose. Once gathered to the center of your face, twist the hair around three times, hold it at your desired length and go at it with one snip! Remember to not cut midway and don't snip twice as you might find yourself with uneven bangs! twisting will also give you a wispier fringe. It ends up being slightly longer on the sides, and allows for a more seamless blend between your bangs and the rest of your hair. For women with curly hair, bangs may be a bit tricker. You will need to leave a lot of length or you may end up with fringe that ends halfway down your eyebrows, you will need to position them and cut them at lip length or even longer. remember to be very conservative with your cutting. After every snip, see how it bounces back up. Slowly but surely is the trick to reaching your desired length.

Keep Bad Hair Day Away:

Have you ever experienced waking up feeling good only to have your spirits dampened by the sight of failing hair on your pillow or several strands that seem to have a mind of their own? No matter what we do, we all have moments when we can’t control our hair. The good news is, we can now do something about it.
Take a break from the heat. Minimize hair damage such as dryness and breakage by taking a break from blow dryer. The hotter the blow dryer, the more breakage it can cause. Remember that it is always better to air dry hair.
Don’t boil. When using heating tongs on damp hair or holding the hair dryer too close to the head, the water in the hair shaft is actually being boiled which causes hair breakage near at least 12 inches from the hair, and use heating tongs on dry hair only.
Do away with crash diets. Crash dieting can lead to falling and thinning hair. The most sensible approach to weight reduction is to increase exercise level while reducing calorie intake.
Alert on dry hair. Almost 13% of our hair is made up of water. When hair is dry, it loses its ability to stretch, causing it to break off. Using moisturizing shampoos and conditioners and going gentle with hair appliances like curling irons and blow dryers will help. For real moisture, try special moisturizing hair treatments.

Non-invasive treatment

To maintain great looking skin sans cosmetic surgery, here are some cosmetic procedures that are suitable for whatever age group.
A chemical peel is one of the oldest rejuvenating methods currently in use. A chemical agent is applied to the skin and the agent’s reaction with skin causes superficial damage and peeling. The deeper the peel, the greater the potential for both cosmetic improvement and side effects.
In essence, lasers work by generating a concentrated and penetrating steam of pulsed bright light that can be controlled and strategically directed over the skin. Resurfacing the skin with lasers can mean ablative or non-ablative procedures, depending on the type of laser used.
Radio frequency resurfacing is neither a laser nor IPL. Rather, it is a from of electromagnetic energy very similar to microwave energy. It is considered a non-ablative resurfacing treatment. The RF treatment passes radio frequency electricity through the skin to heat up tissue. This is supposed to make the tissue contract and, as is true with any injury to skin, it begins making collagen.
You may be 25 years old and studded with post-acne scarring. I would recommend medium-depth peels and laser resurfacing to even out the same regimen to a 40 years old with mild photoageing, but definitely not to a 30 years old with very mild or beginning photoageing.

ALLERGIC TO YOUR SKIN PRODUCT?

Hypoallergenic products, clinically tested products, products recommended by dermatologists, animal tested products. There’s whole array of skin products that claim they’re tested. So what do we need to know to make wise choice? After all, it’s our skin, not those of the skin experts.Even well known brands have claimed to be tested, but not all of them are applicable to our skin. Our skin is made up of tissues and cells. It is quite difficult to know which products will work best even for our own type of skin.
For instance, for hypoallergenic products, can they cause skin problems? Many claims have been made by cosmetic companies. As long as a chemical is used on the skin, there is a potential for skin problems to occur. Many hypoallergenic products do not contain lanolin (which comes from the waxes of wool) and fragrances as it has been found that these two compounds not increase the shelf life and these can cause allergy.
So what are the common substances in cosmetics that cause skin problems? The common substances that cause irritation on the skin are volatile chemicals like alcohols, chemicals with excessively high or low pH or abrasive substances like facial scrubs. The common allergens are lanolin or its derivatives, perfume chemicals, preservatives and sunscreen substances.
Regarding allergy, tests are useful in determining the cause of the skin condition. It is often the only way to tell the difference between allergic or irritant skin problem. The test is done over three days and you must bring along and tell your dermatologist about all the skin care products that you have used. A skin test called a patch test is done which involves applying patches of chemicals on your back for 48 hours.
